Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South club Tiverton Town have announced the retention of four of last season`s squad ahead of the new 2021/22 campaign.

Goalkeeper Lewis Williams and defenders Kyle Egan, Craig Woodman and Neil Martin have all agreed to remain with the Yellows.

Williams, 22, joined Tivvy in July 2019 from Toolstation Western League First Division side Wells City after a successful trial.

He began his career with League Two side Exeter City before making 18 appearances for Wells in 2018/19.

Egan, also 22, signed for Tiverton from league rivals Dorchester Town in February 2020.

He originally joined the Magpies on loan from Exeter in March 2017 having previously spent time out with Bideford AFC.

He was named as the Grecians’ young player of the year for 2015/16 and gained first-team experience in August 2016 against Hartlepool United.

He re-joined Dorchester on a six-month loan deal in July 2017 and signed for them permanently following his release from Exeter in December 2017.

The attacking full-back was voted the players’ player of the year for 2018/19.

Veteran 38-year-old Woodman joined the Yellows in August 2020 after being released by Exeter.

He became a firm favourite with Grecian supporters after signing in the summer of 2012 from Brentford.

He went on to make 246 appearances for City with just one goal before being given a free transfer at the end of the 2019/20 season.

He started his career with Bristol City and went on to play over 100 times for the Robins as well as have loan spells with Mansfield Town and two with Torquay United.

He transferred to Wycombe Wanderers in May 2007 and added 120 games to his tally before moving to Brentford for an undisclosed fee in 2010.

Fifty-nine games followed for the Bees before he headed back to the West Country.

Martin is another vastly experienced player who initially signed for the Ladysmead outfit in March 2020 from Dorchester.

The 32-year-old made his debut for Dorchester in August 2009, went on to make 402 appearances for the Magpies.

He was originally with Exeter and had several spells with Dorchester, separated by stints away with Weymouth, Salisbury City and Poole Town.
