Bater Re-Signs Fourteen

Larks boss gets busy.

The experienced Phil Bater, manager of Pitching In Southern Football League Division One South club Larkhall Athletic, has announced the re-signing of no less than fourteen of last season`s squad ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

Experienced forward Lewis Powell was a key signing for Bater.

The 33-year-old is a proven goalscorer and former `golden boot` winner two seasons in succession.

After starting his career at Bristol Rovers, he also played for Mangotsfield United, Taunton Town, Chippenham Town, Weston-super-Mare, and Evesham United, joining the Larks in 2018.

Goalkeeper Shaun Semmens has penned a new deal, having originally signed for the Larks in January 2017 from Mangotsfield, having started his career playing for Godolphin Atlantic in Cornwall.

James Byrne is an energetic box-to-box midfielder who has previously played for Bridgwater Town, Paulton Rovers, and Mangotsfield before joining Larkhall last summer.

Highly-rated 25-year-old full-back Leon Greenland joined the Larks from Bradford Town in July 2020.

He has also played for Westbury United and Trowbridge Town.

Josh Jones is an imposing centre-half who joined the Larks from Mangotsfield in 2017 and rapidly became a favourite with supporters.

He has also played for Clevedon Town and Cribbs.

Matt Britton is a robust presence at the heart of the midfield who can also fill in at central defence.

He joined the Larks from Toolstation Western League side Cadbury Heath in 2017.

Busy and versatile midfielder Jack Camm made a welcome return to Plain Ham in 2018 after a few years’ absence.

He has also played for Yate Town and Cinderford Town.

Veteran Geraint Bater, who turns 41 next month, has also put pen-to-paper for another season under his father.

The central midfielder, who started out at Bristol Rovers and has also played for Newport County, was manager from October 2016 until January 2017.

Local lad Fin Coyle is a left-sided midfielder who can double up as a full-back or centre-half.

Daniel Demkiv, 24, an academy graduate at Southampton from the age of 7 to 18 before joining Salisbury.

Subsequently, he has had spells at several clubs, including Cirencester Town, Melksham Town, Frome Town, Mangotsfield, and Taunton Town, joining the Larks in the summer of 2020.

Joe Hillard, a holding midfielder who can also play in defence, moved to the Larks from Paulton Rovers in September 2020 and has also played for Mangotsfield.

Dale Evans, 34, is a very experienced midfielder who signed in 2019 from Paulton Rovers.

His other previous clubs include Mangotsfield, Taunton Town, Yate Town, Cinderford Town and Newport County.

Alex Lambert a pacey left-sided winger, joined the Larks in 2016 from Brislington.

His previous clubs also include Mangotsfield and Yate.

And skipper Mike Baker, 27, a left-footed centre half, has also penned a new deal.

He joined the Larks from Yate Town and has also played for Bristol Rovers Mangotsfield, Odd Down, and Oldland Abbotonians.
