Lee Spalding, manager of Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South club Swindon Supermarine, has announced a change to his management team at the Webbswood Stadium.
Kevin Milsom will leave his current role as assistant manager due to personal reasons.
Along with the Board of Directors, a disappointed Spalding has thanked Milsom for all his hard work and commitment over the last three seasons with the club.
However, he will not entirely leave `Marine as he will continue scouting and reporting on opponents in the south-west.
The assistant manager’s vacancy will now be filled by current coach Charlie Griffin, who will assist Spalding as pre-season training continues next week before the friendlies kick-off at Highworth Town on Saturday.
Griffin has a wealth of experience having played for over sixteen clubs.
He was a player was Cirencester Town and then manager from 2016 before departing the Centurions in November 2019.
After a month away from football he was appointed striker’ coach at `Marine in January 2020.
He was a vastly experienced striker having played for a number of non-League and Football League clubs, including Swindon Town, Yeovil Town, Forest Green Rovers, Wycombe Wanderers, Newport County, Stevenage Borough, Chippenham Town, Woking, Salisbury City, Bath City, Brackley Town, and Gloucester City amongst others.
