Paul Halsey, manager of Pitching In Southern Football League Division One Central new boys Ware, has announced the arrival of two new players, with several more putting pen-to-paper from last season`s squad.

Prolific marksman Jason Hallett and winger Robbie Buchanan are the new faces at Wodson Park thus far.

The experienced 34-year-old Hallett joins from league rivals Waltham Abbey, who he had signed for in the summer of 2020.

He moved to the Abbots from Isthmian League North side Canvey Island where he had been for the fourth time since August 2019.

He returned this time from Isthmian Premier outfit Cheshunt where he had been in free-scoring form since joining in 2015, helping the club to promotion via the play-offs last season.

He first joined Canvey via the youth and reserve sides after joining from Waltham Abbey.

He made his senior debut for the club in the Conference before leaving to have a three-year spell with Chelmsford City upon the Gulls resignation from the league.

He went on to sign twice more, first in September 2009 from Chelmsford and then again in December 2013 from island neighbours Concord Rangers.

He has also played for East Thurrock United.

Buchanan is a 20-year-old wide player who arrives from league rivals Welwyn Garden City.

He signed for City in September 2020.

A former Stevenage academy prospect, he joined the Citizens having played for Spartan South Midlands League Division One outfit Stotfold.

He has previously played with Baldock Town and Biggleswade Town.

Amongst those penning new deals with Ware include top marksman Liam Hope, the former Brentwood Town and Maldon & Tiptree striker, who netted over 100 goals for Enfield Town.

Former Cheshunt duo Dave Kendall and Pat Adamson, Gareth Madden, who returned to Ware from Waltham Forest and has now made almost 200 appearances, and young goalkeeper Ethan Gannon, who became the youngest recorded player in Ware's history to complete a full 90 minutes when he played against Histon in the Velocity Trophy game on 24th September 2019 at the age of 16 years and 26 days.
