Stevens Makes First New Signing

Ravens bring in former Stag.

Adam Stevens, manager of Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division Central club Coalville Town, has announce Kyle Tomlin as his first new summer addition.

The 19-year-old came through the ranks at League Two Mansfield Town and eventually captained them during their FA Youth Cup campaign where he scored a stunning goal from the halfway line against Queens Park Rangers that went viral on social media.

His time at the Stags ended this summer and has signed a one-year contract with the Ravens, despite interest from several other non-League clubs.

Tomlin can operate at centre-half, right-back and is also viewed by the coaching team to be a potential central midfielder in the future.

Stevens told his club`s website: “Kyle has excelled in training. He’s a hungry young footballer who can play in various positions which is important for us. He is so keen to do well, and we will improve him as the season goes on. He’s the type of player who fits our remit and has already settled into our close-knit squad”.
