Huggins Becomes Latest to Commit to Gosport

Another remains at Privett Park.

Shaun Gale, manager of Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South club Gosport Borough, has revealed that midfielder or defender Josh Huggins has become the latest to put pen-to-paper for the new season.

The 30-year-old initially signed for Boro in June 2019 from Vanarama National League South neighbours Havant & Waterlooville.

He was no stranger to Privett Park, however, after joining Gosport for a short loan spell in March 2019.

He re-signed for the Hawks in January 2018 following his departure from Farnborough.

He played for Aldershot Town, Crawley Town, Didcot Town, Hampton & Richmond Borough before signing for Farnborough in 2012.

At Hampton, he was part of the winning team of the Middlesex Senior Cup and won Farnborough supporters` player of the year award in 2014 before departing to join Havant in July 2014.

He spent a year at Havant before joining Maidenhead United in 2015.

Gale told his club`s website: “I have worked with Josh for a number of years, and he can play in a number of different positions which is always a massive benefit to the team, and whichever position he plays in Josh always give 100%.

“Josh is a winner and has the experience to back up his battling performances, winning means everything to him and he is the type of character you need in the dressing room”.
