Pitching In Southern Football League Division One South club Winchester City have been busy, with several members of last season`s squad penning new deals for the 2021/22 season and revealing their first new face.
Skipper and fans' favourite Jamie Barron has re-signed for the new campaign.
The 32-year-old re-joined City in the summer of 2017 from Gosport Borough.
He has also played for Salisbury, Andover, Sholing and Folland Sports.
Midfielder Liam Callaghan will also remain a Citizen for the 2021/22 season.
Callaghan joined Winchester in July 2020 from league rivals AFC Totton.
He had been with the Stags since May 2019 after leaving Vanarama National League side Eastleigh.
He arrived at The Snows Stadium after finishing his scholarship with the Spitfires.
He gained experience of senior football in 2018/29 at Wessex League outfits US Portsmouth and Fleet Town and with then-Southern Premier Division South side Blackfield & Langley.
He played 34 games for the Stags in 2019/20 before lockdown, netting 5 goals.
Forward Olly Balmer is another to have put pen-to-paper.
The 22-year-old originally joined City in the summer of 2019 from Southern Premier Division South side Poole Town, having played for them at the National League South level.
Joe Hayward is one of the club`s longest-serving players and he has also committed to the new season.
The 23-year-old initially signed forms for Winchester in 2016 having previously been with Eastleigh.
His progress was hampered, however, when he unfortunately broke his leg in November 2016, but he returned quickly and showed what great potential he has.
Also returning to The Simplyhealth City Ground is popular striker Simba Mlambo.
The 31-year-old joined City in 2017. He scored 11 goals in 31 games in 2019/20 before lockdown and was formerly with Alton Town and Fleet Town.
City have put two of their promising young players on Southern League forms.
Young midfielder Lex Vaughan has signed first-team forms for the first time for the 2021/22 season and he has been joined by forward Tom Vincent, who was a prolific scorer for the Citizens` title-winning under-23 side last season.
Brad Snelling
City have also announced that goalkeeper Brad Snelling has returned to the club.
Snelling has played for the Citizens before and also received multiple player of the year awards whilst with Whitchurch United in the Wessex League in 2014/15.
He went on to play for Blackfield & Langley in the Southern League and, most recently, for Wessex Premier outfit AFC Portchester.
