Chesham Pair Commit for New Campaign

Skipper re-signs.

Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South club Chesham United have revealed their first re-signings ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Back for his fourth season as a General is centre-back and captain Steve Brown.

The 31-year-old is an experienced non-League player who followed the management team to Chesham from Potters Bar Town in the summer of 2018.

He earlier spent several years with Oxhey Jets in the Spartan South Midlands League and then three seasons with Northwood before joining Potters Bar in July 2017.

Also penning a new deal to remain at The Meadow is striker Karl Oliyide.

During the last two curtailed seasons, the 26-year-old still managed16 goals in 32 starts.

He originally signed for the club in July 2019.

He began his career with Oxhey Jets before joining the Reading academy and has also had spells at Northwood and with Leiknir Reykjavik in Iceland.

He signed for Enfield Town from Hendon in February 2017, having moved to Silver Jubilee Park during the 2016 close season from Wingate & Finchley, returning to Town on loan in February 2019.

After starting the 2017/18 campaign with Braintree Town, he joined Vanarama National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town in February 2018 before moving to Hampton & Richmond Borough in December 2018.
