Charlie Briggs
Pitching In Southern Football League Division One Central club Berkhamsted have brought in defender Charlie Briggs on a more permanent basis.
The central defender originally joined the Comrades on loan from Vanarama National League South neighbours Hemel Hempstead Town last season.
Briggs joined the Tudors in the summer of 2020.
He previously skippered Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Biggleswade United under new Comrades` boss Chris Devane.
He had impressed Hemel`s new manager, former Berko boss Lee Bircham, during pre-season training.
As well as Biggleswade, he has also been on the books at Arlesey Town, Codicote, Baldock Town, Stotfold, London Colney and Potton United, from where he moved to Biggleswade in the early part of the 2019/20 campaign.
Meanwhile, re-signing for the 2021/22 campaign is attacking midfielder Adam Watkins.
The experienced 29-year-old moved to Berko in November 2020 from Southern Premier Division Central side Royston Town.
He had signed for the Crows in October 2019 from Barton Rovers, having been with Cambridge City since 2018.
He has previously played for Chesham United, Bedford Town, Dunstable Town and Luton Town where he was an ever-present in season 2011/12 in the National League.
He made 42 appearances in all competitions for Luton during that season, scoring 6 goals.
The following season he was in the Luton squad that beat then-Premier League Norwich City in the FA Cup.
