Jake Pemberton
Pitching In Southern Football League Division One Central club Wantage Town have announced another new arrival and two more re-signings.
Joining the Fred`s is defender Jake Pemberton after impressing the management during pre-season.
The 20-year-old Newbury-born full-back spent eleven years with Championship side Reading until being released at the end of the 2018/19 season.
He decided to concentrate on his education and got into Loughborough University taking a BS in Economics and Management.
Meanwhile, two more players have committed to the Fred`s for 2021/22.
Midfielder James Watts, who turned 23 on Sunday, originally joined the club this time last year from Southern Premier Central side Banbury United, where he had been since May 2019 after arriving from Hellenic League Premier Division neighbours Brackley Town Saints.
Originally on the books at Northampton Town, he made his debut for Saints as a teenager and became an important member of the side.
And another former Brackley Town Saints and Northampton Town player, James Hammond, has also put pen-to-paper for the new campaign.
Hammond is a very tidy midfield player with clever feet.
