Redditch Sign International Midfielder

New signing for Reds.

Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division Central club Redditch United have announced the signing of Pakistan international Rahis Nabi.

Nabi has impressed from central midfield while on trial enough for manager Matt Clarke to get him to put pen-to-paper for the Reds.

Birmingham-born, the 22-year-old started out in the youth ranks at Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion and it was whilst at The Hawthorns that he gained 3 caps for England at under-17 level.

He had a brief spell with Sunderland and then spent a year with Burnley`s development squad after leaving the Baggies.

Nabi then made 20 appearances for Redditch`s league rivals and neighbours Alvechurch from 2018 to 2020.

He made his debut for Pakistan at full international level in June 2019 in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Cambodia, and he has two caps to date.

His older brother Samir plays for Vanarama National League North side Kidderminster Harriers.
