Pitching In Southern Football League Division One Central club St Neots Town have announced the arrival of one new signing and another player committing from last season`s squad.
Lawrence Hammond is a former Leyton Orient youngster who has returned to his Cambridgeshire home after being released by the League Two outfit.
He spent time on loan in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division with Mildenhall Town in 2019/20.
Last season`s skipper Lee Watkins has become the latest to put pen-to-paper for the 2021/22 campaign.
The 21-year-old midfielder originally signed for St Neots in June 2019 following his release by then-League Two side Cambridge United.
He featured a number of times for the U’s senior during the 2018 pre-season and signed his first pro contract ahead of the summer.
He enjoyed loan spells with St Neots, Mildenhall and Cambridge City in 2018/19.
Young goalkeeper George Whitehall has also signed Southern League forms.
The 18-year-old youth product came in to play a couple of first team games during 2020/21 and impressed.
