Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division Central club St Ives Town have seen four more senior players commit for the new 2021/22 campaign.

Skipper Robbie Parker has put pen-to-paper for the Saints for another campaign.

The now 26-year-old originally signed for the club in the summer of 2018 from league rivals Biggleswade Town.

The hard-working and energetic midfielder was originally a scholar at Northampton Town and also had spells with Wellingborough Town and Bedford Town.

Two well-travelled players have decided to put down some roots at Westwood Road.

Forward Nabil Shariff, 29, joined St Ives this time last year following a second spell with rivals AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

Originally with the now defunct Rushden & Diamonds, he has gone on to have spells of varying lengths with the likes of Stratford Town, Banbury United, Tamworth, Hemel Hempstead Town, Oxford City, Kettering Town, Corby Town, Stamford AFC, Belper Town, Daventry Town, Alfreton Town and St Neots Town.

Another much-travelled player, midfielder Edmund Hottor, initially arrived at Westwood Road in early December 2019.

The 28-year-old Ghanaian is an experienced performer who has been a host of professional clubs within Europe, including a number of years spent with AC Milan.

He started out with Triestina and after joining Milan in 2010, had loan spells with Lanciano, Nocerina and Venezia.

In 2016, he transferred to fierce rivals Inter Milan but didn`t feature in the Nerazzurri senior side but did go out on loan with Portuguese sides Atletico Clube de Portugal and Deportivo Fafe.

His next port of call was Maltese side Sliema Wanderers before he came to England in the summer of 2018.

He had a brief spell with Kettering before joining Saints` league rivals Banbury in November 2018.
