Aussie Makes Bedford Move

Eagles go for new left-sider.

Pitching In Southern Football League Division One Central club Bedford Town have signed left-sided player Lewis Miccio.

The 22-year-old Aussie joined Vanarama National League North side Kidderminster Harriers in February 2020 and then moved up a division to the National League with Solihull Moors in July 2020.

He was born in Sydney, Australia before relocating to New Zealand at the age of three. When he was 16, his family were on the move again, this time settling on the Central Coast of New South Wales.

He joined Central Coast Mariners and spent four years with them before signing for Manly United in the summer of 2018.

He trialled with League Two side Walsall before signing for Harriers.

Bedford manager Gary Setchell told his club`s website: "Lewis has impressed us throughout pre-season and gives us another option down that left hand side of the pitch. He has fitted in well to the squad and we are looking forward to working with him as the season starts".
