Fairlamb Checks Into St Ives

Midfielder arrives at Westwood Road.

Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division Central club St Ives Town have signed midfielder Luke Fairlamb.

The experienced 27-year-old was originally a youth team player with Corby Town prior to moving to the United States to play college football for Saint Peter’s College in New Jersey for four seasons.

He then had spells with Northampton Sileby Rangers and Bedford Town before joining AFC Rushden & Diamonds for season 2017/18, playing a key part in their Southern Division One Central promotion via the play-offs that season, making 43 appearances.

He moved to Vanarama National League North side Brackley Town in the summer 2018 and he went on to play over 80 times at St James`s Park.

He was announced as a new signing for Southern Premier Division Central outfit Stratford Town in June 2020 but had a change of mind and joined rivals AFC Rushden & Diamonds instead three months later.
