Pitching In Southern Football League Division One South club Highworth Town have made a number of signings ahead of the new campaign.
Top of the list is the arrival of much-travelled striker Felipe Barcelos.
The 29-year-old, who originates from the Brazilian town of Dourados, moved to the UK as a teenager.
He progressed through the ranks at Oxford City and had spells with Banbury United, Grantham Town and Cirencester Town and had a season at ASD Santhia in Italian Serie D but is perhaps best known for playing a key role in Didcot Town’s successful 2017/18 season when he scored 27 league and cup goals and was also named managers` and players` player of the year.
After beginning the 2017/18 season at Didcot, he had brief spells with Moneyfields and Stratford Town before returning to the Loop Meadow in February 2019.
He joined then-Southern Division One South outfit Thatcham Town in June 2019 and then switched to Isthmian South Central side Bracknell Town exactly a year later.
However, in September 2020 he returned to the Southern Division One South with Melksham Town and then moved onto Southern Division One Central side Wantage Town in late November 2020.
Rhys Wells is a midfielder who joins the Worthians from Southern Premier Division South neighbours Swindon Supermarine, where he had been since July 2020.
He came through the Swindon Town academy and was released in the summer of 2020.
Another midfielder, Mani Roper, has returned to Highworth where he started out.
The now 26-year-old moved to Shrivenham in November 2012 and then joined Royal Wootton Bassett Town.
In December 2019, he left Bassett to join Malmesbury Vics and in October 2020 he departed Vics to re-join Shrivenham.
