With Steve Baker having goalkeeping issues currently at Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South club Harrow Borough, he has signed Callum Coulter to compete for the number one spot with Fulham loanee Damian Las.

Coulter was released by League Two side Colchester United in July following a three-year spell with the U’s.

Although Coulter did not make a senior appearance during his time at the JobServe Community Stadium, he nevertheless spent much of the season in Colchester’s first-team squad and was regularly involved on matchday.

Originally with Crystal Palace as a youngster, Coulter has had to overcome considerable adversity in life, having suffered serious injuries in a horrific road accident at the age of 13.

As a result, he fractured his skull in 12 different places, was left partially blind in his left eye and 50 per cent deaf in his right ear.

Whilst on the U`s books, the now 20-year-old spent time on loan at Isthmian League North side Maldon & Tiptree, Isthmian League Premier outfit Bowers & Pitsea and Thurlow Nunn Leaguers Brantham Athletic.

Coulter was on the bench for Colchester’s final game of the 2020/21 season at Tranmere Rovers.

Also joining Boro is versatile defender James Taylor.

The 22-year-old is a former captain of Hayes & Yeading United's under-18 academy side who showed up well in the early part of 2016/17 leading to his addition to the first-team squad.

He left for Beaconsfield Town before the season`s end but returned for a short spell the following campaign before again reverting to Beaconsfield.

He had spells with Egham Town and Bedfont Sports before re-joining the Rams for a third time in the summer of 2019.
