Cinderford Borrow Robins Keeper

Foresters forced in loan market.

Having had goalkeeper Nick Jones sent-off in the opening game of the Pitching In Southern Football League Division One South against Paulton Rovers last weekend, Cinderford Town have taken Max Harris on a month`s loan from League One neighbours Cheltenham Town.

Harris signed for Cheltenham in September 2020 having spent the pre-season period that summer on trial at the club.

He moved to the Robins after a year as a professional on the books at Oxford United.

He had come through the youth system at the Kassam Stadium while also balancing his football with studying as a student at Hartpury College.

In his time in Oxfordshire, he spent time out on loan with the likes of Vanarama National League South side Oxford City and the Foresters` league rivals AFC Totton.

Previously before making the switch to Oxford, he had been part of the set-up at Hereford FC, making a senior appearance for the Bulls as a 17-year-old in the Southern League.

He has also represented England internationally at college and schools` level.

Harris made his Cinderford debut in last night`s defeat at Highworth Town.
