Keano Robinson gave Hayes & Yeading a great start with a goal in the 5th minute.

But Gethyn Hill equalised 9 minutes later.

Things were fairly even then until Moses Emmanuel restored the home side`s lead with 15 minutes to go.

But Paul Hughes` side were grateful to goalkeeper Jack Smith for making a fine save from Taunton sub Jack Veale in the 88th minute to maintain their lead.

Farnborough, Metropolitan Police and Walton Casuals head into Bank Holiday Monday`s games still to taste defeat in 2021/22.

Farnborough eased to a 3-0 win at the Easy As HGV Stadium against Hendon, leading at half-time with a goal from Paul Hughes on 41 minutes.

Sam Deering added a second after 61 minutes and Elijah Simpson made it game over with a third with less than 5 minutes remaining.

The Met inflicted a second defeat on Weston-super-Mare at The Optima Stadium.

Bernard Tanner`s header with 14 minutes remaining sent the majority in the 537 crowd unhappy.

Casuals enjoyed their long trip to Devon, dodging the M5 holiday traffic, as they left Tiverton Town with all three points from a 2-1 win.

Mitchal Gough gave the visitors a 19th minute lead that Adam Liddle eventually added to 7 minutes into the second half.

Loanee Olaf Koszela pulled one back for the Yellows, who had sub Craig Woodman dismissed on 88 minutes for two bookings in the space of a minute.

Merthyr Town bagged their first win of the new campaign in front of 503 at The Met Coaches Stadium against Beaconsfield Town.

Tom Hillman put the Martyrs in front after 20 minutes and 4 minutes later, Matthew Harris added a second.

And then 4 minutes before the break, Ismail Yakubu made it 3-0 to the impressive hosts.

The Rams didn`t concede again until 8 minutes from time when Elijah Phipps made it 4-0 for the Welsh side.

Gosport Borough made it three wins from four with a 3-0 success against Chesham United in front of just under 500 at Privett Park.

Gosport took the lead on 34 minutes through Joseph Lea.

It wasn`t until the 79th minute that the hosts managed to make virtually sure of the points with a second from Lea.

And then Nicky Dembele added a third in the 87th minute.

At the other end of the fledgling table, Kings Langley and Wimborne Town are still yet to record a win this season.

A goal from Ricardo Rees after 63 minutes secured all three points for Yate Town at The Orbital Fasteners Stadium against Kings Langley.

Wimborne were also beaten at home, 2-1 by Swindon Supermarine.

The Magpies led at the break, thanks to a 29th minute Lewis Beale effort.

But just 2 minutes after half-time, manager Lee Spalding`s team talk must have worked as David Pratt equalised.

And then Ryan Campbell scored what proved to be `Marine`s winner just shy of the hour-mark.

It can`t have been easy for Hartley Wintney making the long trip to Cornwall on a Bank Holiday Saturday to take on Truro City.

But they were at least rewarded with a point from a 0-0 draw at Plymouth Parkway`s Bolitho Park – and it was almost all three as Truro `keeper James Hamon made a brilliant save late on to deny Kingsley Eshun.

Poole Town enjoyed a good away day, securing a comfortable 4-0 win at Earlsmead against Harrow Borough.

Luke Burbidge scored either side of half-time to give the Dolphins a 2-0 lead.

Then with 7 minutes to go, Tony Lee made sure with a third and Will Fletcher added a fourth a couple of minutes later.

The biggest crowd of the day – 696 – assembled at the Avenue Stadium to see Dorchester Town welcome neighbours Salisbury.

It was a cagey affair but was eventually won in the last seconds by a terrific goal from Salisbury`s late loan signing from Eastleigh, Tom Blair, a former Dorchester favourite!
