Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Hednesford Town added two new players to their squad ahead of Saturday`s 1-1 draw with Biggleswade Town and both came off the bench to make their debuts.

Former Northern Ireland Youth international Jack Chambers has joined the Pitmen after leaving Championship side Luton Town at the end of last season.

The 21-year-old central midfielder began his career with Linfield in Northern Ireland before making the switch to join West Bromwich Albion in 2016 where he remained until 2020 – and had a brief spell on loan with the Pitmen in 2019 - before moving to Kenilworth Road.

Hednesford boss Keenen Meakin-Richards told his club`s website: “Jack has had interest from a number of Football League clubs, so we are delighted he has decided to join us. He is quick with his feet and a talented player who has a bright future ahead of him.”

The second new arrival is 19-year-old winger Callum King-Harmes, who arrives from League One side Bolton Wanderers.

Birmingham-born and a former Wales under-15 and under-16 international, he began his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers before making the move up north to join the Trotters making his league debut in 2019 against Wycombe Wanderers.

He then moved to Northern Premier League Premier Division side Bamber Bridge on loan last season before the pandemic cut short his time at Irongate after playing 5 games.

He was released by Bolton at the end of May 2021, having made 5 first-team appearances

Meakin-Richards added: “Callum is an exciting young player. He has played in the Football League and has fantastic technical ability. We are really excited to bring him in.”

Meanwhile, the Pitmen have sent three players out on loan lower down the non-League Pyramid to get some game time.

Full back Wes Atkinson has joined Midland League Premier Division side Walsall Wood, academy graduate Kosta Mario has signed for West Midlands (Regional) League Division One side Sikh Hunters and England Schoolboy international forward Oli Waddison has also gone to Midland League Premier Division outfit Wolverhampton Casuals.
