Wantage Find The Right Price

Two new Freds.

Pitching In Southern League Division One Central club Wantage Town, who are still searching for their first win of 2021/22, have added a couple of players to their squad.

Midfielder Haydn Price has put pen-to-paper for the Freds, having been training in pre-season with Southern League Premier Division Central side Banbury United.

Price, who turns 20 on Saturday, was on the books of both Corby Town – then in the Southern Division One Central – and United Counties League Premier Division South side Wellingborough Town last season.

He was released by League Two side Northampton Town at the end of the 2019/20 season, having spent the majority of that season on loan with Wellingborough.

Also signing for the Freds is 21-year-old forward Ryan Sagar.

Sagar makes the step up from the Oxfordshire Senior League where he had spells with Mansfield Road FC and then Summertown Stars from August 2020 to May 2021.
