Hendon Borrow Boro Defender

Young centre-back loaned to Greens.

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Hendon have brought in young Sam Dreyer on a month`s loan from League Two side Stevenage.

The 17-year-old defender signed professional terms with Boro in April.

Originally a central midfielder, he was switched to centre-back at under-14 level and made the transition really well.

Captain of the scholars last season, he has led by example. He has been outstanding in under-23 games, trained with the first team, and made a good impression.

He had a brief loan spell with Southern Division One Central side Biggleswade FC last season, making a couple of appearances and scoring the late winner in a 3-2 success against Aylesbury United in October 2020.
