Keeper Joins - Midfielder Departs Hednesford

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Hednesford Town have brought in experienced goalkeeper Jono Brown.

The 25-year-old had re-joined league rivals Bromsgrove Sporting in May from another league rival, Alvechurch, for whom he had joined in July 2020 from Northern Premier League Premier Division side Stafford Rangers.

He joined Rangers in January 2020 from Southern Division One South outfit Evesham United, where he had only been since the previous November after signing from Sporting.

He was in his second spell with Sporting, who enjoyed a successful loan spell when he joined the Rouslers from Kidderminster Harriers in 2016.

He re-joined Sporting at the start of the 2018/19 season having been on loan at Sutton Coldfield Town for half of the previous season.

Before joining Harriers, he had been with Boldmere St Michaels, AFC Wulfrunians and Rushall Olympic.

Meanwhile, Hednesford have announced that young midfielder Rob Hanna has joined Midland League Premier Division side AFC Wulfrunians on an initial month`s loan.

The 19-year-old joined the Pitmen in December 2020 after impressing on a short trial from West Midland (Regional) League Premier Division side Dudley Town and the skilful youngster is seen to have a bright future at the PRG Stadium @Keys Park.

So far this season he has had limited game time, so has been allowed to go out on loan to continue his development.
