Currently without a first-team manager, Pitching In Southern League Division One South club Barnstaple Town have now lost their chairman.

The Board of Directors have accepted the resignation of chairman Bob Chamberlain.

Chamberlain had been at Barum’s helm for nearly three years, bringing a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Clyst Rovers and Exmouth Town.

The Board placed on record its gratitude for his services and will now focus its attention on appointing a new manager after the recent departure of Dean Edwards.

On the player front, the club, who are still searching for a first point of the 2021/22 campaign, have re-signed striker Jordan Charran.

The 30-year-old has had umpteen previous spells with Barum after originally being on the books at Torquay United.

In between stints at Mill Road, Charran has turned out in the Toolstation Western League and South West Peninsula League for the likes Witheridge, Bideford AFC, Exmouth Town, Cullompton Rangers, Elmore and Ilfracombe Town.
