The 21-year-old had only moved to Marston Road in August from then-Southern Division One Central club Coleshill Town, where he had been since August 2019 after leaving Championship side Birmingham City.

He was on initially on Birmingham`s books but he was released as an 8-year-old and recruited by Solihull Moors` academy.

He showed plenty of promise with the Moors and played for the club’s reserves.

He kept in touch with the Blues following his release and his progression has earned him a move back to St Andrews in 2016 as a scholar.

He progressed through the under-18s and under-23s and spent time on loan with Hednesford Town and Sutton Coldfield Town in 2018/19 before being released by the Blues in May 2019.

Dawes made his Reds` debut in Monday night`s 3-2 win against Nuneaton Borough in the League Cup.

Redditch have also signed forward Jade Ferron from Hellenic League Division One new boys Littleton, who were switched by the FA from the West Midlands (Regional) League in the summer.

The 19-year-old had come through the ranks to become a first team starter and a regular scorer.
