Able to play at right-back, centre-back or midfield, Butler re-joined the Saints in late October 2019 for a second time from Spartan South Midlands League Division One outfit Langford.

After coming through the youth system at Stevenage and St Albans City, he turned out for London Colney, Welwyn Garden City, Royston Town, Harlow Town, where he had two spells, Histon, Arlesey Town, Crawley Green and Stotfold before his first stint with the Saints in 2016.

The 28-year-old left for Barton Rovers in 2018 and also turned out for Hertford Town before signing for Langford in 2019.

He re-joins Biggleswade after a spell as player/assistant manager at Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division outfit Haverhill Rovers, departing The New Croft along with former St Neots manager Marc Abbott last week.

Another arrival is 19-year-old Tom Unsworth.

Unsworth arrives from Isthmian League South Central side Northwood.

He had joined the Woods in the summer having been at Boreham Wood and Kings Langley in 2020/21.

He started out in the Thatcham Town youth set-up and then joined the Reading and AFC Bournemouth elite squads and also spent time on loan at Staines Town in 2019/20.
