Giant Keeper Re-Joins Waltham Abbey

One of the tallest players in non-League football has re-joined Pitching In Southern League Division One Central club Waltham Abbey.


Standing 6`10”, goalkeeper Simon Jorgensen has returned to Capershotts having left at the end of last season.

The 29-year-old, born in Flensburg, Germany spent his early career with Frem, FC Copenhagen, B93 and B1908 in Denmark.

He left Frem in November 2016 by mutual consent, after making 53 appearances for them.

He played one game Waltham Forest in the Essex Senior League during the 2016/17 season before signing for Brønshøj in March 2017.

He returned to England and signed for Accrington Stanley in August 2017.

He made one appearance in the EFL Cup in August 2017 before joining then-Vanarama National League South side Whitehawk, where he made 4 appearances.

After a year at Danish second division side Greve IF, in February 2019, he signed for National League South side Dulwich Hamlet.

He originally joined the Abbots in August 2020.
