Another Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club in action in the First Round on Saturday are Harrow Borough, who make the trip down to the south coast play League One side Portsmouth at their famous Fratton Park ground, which has witnessed many great cup days over the years.
Steve Baker`s Boro, currently sitting fourth in the table and on a run of six straight wins in all competitions, started their cup run with a 4-2 Earlsmead victory over Isthmian League South East Division side Ramsgate in which top scorer James Ewington bagged a brace.
Harrow then caused an upset in the Second Qualifying Round when they won 2-0 at Park View Road against National League South hosts Welling United.
Ewington, who scored one of the goals against the Wings, was on target again as Isthmian South Central outfit Marlow were beaten 2-1 at home at the Third Qualifying Round stage.
And Boro produced another surprise on a National League South team when they beat Chelmsford City 4-2 at home, this time Ewington netting a hat-trick.
Harrow last featured in the First Round back in 2016/17, losing 6-0 against Northampton Town.
They have only reached the Second Round once before, in 1983/84 when they beat Yeovil in the First Round before losing to Newport County.
Portsmouth will be hoping their form against non-League teams continues, however, as they have won their last five ties since losing to Aldershot Town in 2014/15.
It was only eleven years ago that Pompey were in the FA Cup Final at Wembley when they lost to Chelsea, having won the competition three seasons earlier after beating Cardiff City.
Harrow have never beaten a Football League side in the cup – but there`s always a first time!
