Pitching In Southern League Division One South club Bristol Manor Farm have announced the signing of vastly experienced Gibralta international Jake Gosling.

Still only 28, the wide midfielder has been on the books at Northern Premier League Division One Midlands side Sporting Khalsa since November 2019, helping them to promotion from the Midland League.

He started out at South West Peninsula League side Godolphin Atlantic and then spent six years on the books at Plymouth Argyle before joining Exeter City in 2010.

He went on to become a first-teamer at St James`s Park, making 15 appearances, and also had loan spells in non-League football with Dorchester Town and Gloucester City before leaving the Grecians for Bristol Rovers in the summer of 2014.

He went on to play 44 games for the Gas and spent time on loan at Newport County, Cambridge United and Forest Green Rovers, before moving to Torquay United in June 2017.

He played 14 games for the Gulls before being released at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.

In January 2014, Gosling received his first call up to represent Gibraltar and played in the Euro 2016 qualifying games.

He has 12 caps and 2 international goals to his name.

Manor Farm boss Lee Lashenko told his club`s website: “We were dominant in the Western League and deserved to go up as champions. Over the past couple of seasons, we’ve cemented that we are now a Southern League club.

“Our current league position suggests that we are ready to move up another division, and the signing of Jake Gosling proves our intentions for the rest of the season.

“I want to thank Owen Howe for helping us bring Jake to the club. People questioned Owen’s decision to re-join Bristol Manor Farm in the summer, and this proves his desire to help push our historic club forward.

“We’re a hair’s breadth away from our most successful season in our history, and the signing of Jake Gosling shows exactly what we’re trying to do at this football club”.
