Martyrs Bring Midfielder Back to Principality

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Merthyr Town have brought midfielder Kieran Evans back to Wales.

The 22-year-old is a graduate of Championship outfit Swansea City`s academy where he was on the books from the age of 6, signing his first professional contract in April 2016.

He progressed through to the under-23s and made one first-team appearance from the bench in the EFL Trophy against Charlton Athletic in November 2018.

Evans was part of the Wales squad that lifted the FA Victory Shield in 2014 - the first time in 66 years and he has also represented his country at under-19 level.

He joined Vanarama National League North side Gloucester City in August after putting in a string of outstanding performances in pre-season and quickly became a fan favourite with the New Meadow Park faithful.
