A product of the Bristol Academy, a quick direct attacker, Sims-Burgess originally joined Yate from Paulton Rovers in March 2018, having previously played for Chipping Sodbury Town.
The 25-year-old re-joined Paulton in August 2019 and then became one of Paul Michael`s first signings when he took charge of the Bluebells in June 2020.
And Sims-Burgess played a key part in Yate`s promotion-winning campaign which ultimately ended in triumph in the play-off final.
Manager Paul Michael told his club`s website: "After turning down numerous offers, Dave has been given the opportunity to move to Bath. It’s one he feels he can’t turn down. He goes with our best wishes, and we’d like to thank him for all his efforts this season.
“Having identified Dave right at the start of my tenure, I’m very proud that we have been able to create an environment where he can flourish. Although supporters may be disappointed, we’d never stand in the way of pushing a local lad onto higher levels of football. The challenge for us now is to identify someone else either from within our squad or below in the pyramid to have the same impact that Dave has had."
Sims-Burgess should be available to make his Bath debut in Tuesday’s match with Hampton & Richmond Borough at Twerton Park.
