Banbury Borrow Another Young Keeper

Banbury United have been forced into making a late swoop into the loan market ahead of Tuesday night`s big game in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central at Coalville Town.

Goalkeeper Tom Allsopp has joined the Puritans on a month`s loan from Vanarama National League side Solihull Moors.

The 19-year-old signed a one-year deal with Moors, with the option of a further year and received his first-team squad number in April, having come through the club`s football and education programme.

Allsop made his senior debut in October’s Birmingham FA Senior Cup tie at Lye Town and has also appeared on the bench in the National League and Emirates FA Cup this season.

Manager Andy Whing was forced to make the move for Allsop after Mackenzie Chapman's loan ended, having been recalled by League One neighbours Oxford United.
