Banbury Borrow Highly Rated MK Dons Starlet

Unbeaten Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Banbury United have added highly rated young forward Lewis Johnson on a month`s loan from League One side MK Dons.


Johnson joined the Dons as an under-16, after coming through the academy system at Premier League Aston Villa.

A professional as of February 2021, Johnson was awarded the academy player of the year for 2020/21.

The 17-year-old made his senior bow in the Papa John’s Trophy in November 2020, playing the full 90 minutes against Southampton under-21s.

In total, he has featured 9 times across three competitions, including four League One appearances and a late cameo during a 1-1 Emirates FA Cup draw with Burnley at Turf Moor.
