Making a man-of-the-match debut for Peterborough Sports in their 1-0 home defeat to Redditch United in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central was defender Liam Bennett, who has joined the Turbines on a month`s loan from League One side Cambridge United.
Bennett recently returned to the Abbey Stadium after a spell on loan with Vanarama National South side Hemel Hempstead Town.
The right-back made his United first-team debut earlier this season, playing a full 90 minutes in the 4-1 win over Oxford United in the EFL Trophy.
The 20-year-old originally joined the club on trial from Isthmian League North Division outfit AFC Sudbury in the 2019/20 season, before signing for Southern League Division One Central side St Neots Town ahead of this season.
Whilst training with the U`s first team and playing for St Neots, he was rewarded for his progress and performances by being offered a professional deal in June.
