Bosma Joins League Rivals

Wimborne Town have signed midfielder Bouwe Bosma from Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South rivals Gosport Borough.

The 25-year-old joined Boro in May having been with Isthmian League Premier Division side Lewes since October 2020.

He had re-joined the Rooks from Championship side Coventry City, having made the move to the Sky Blues from the Dripping Pan towards the end of the 2017/18 season having made 37 appearances for the Rooks, scoring 7 goals.

The 6`3” Liverpool-born player is a strong, physical presence in the centre of the park, and played mostly for Coventry`s under-23s.

He returned back to Lewes for a month`s loan spell, before joining Vanarama National League North outfit Southport on a two-month loan.

In January of 2019, he secured a third loan of the season, this time with another of the Magpies` league rivals, Salisbury.

Ahead of his original spell with Lewes, which began in the summer of 2017 after joining from Eastbourne Borough, he had been on the books at Godalming Town and Bashley.
