Zebroski Coup for Freds

Relegation-threatened Pitching In Southern League Division One Central club Wantage Town have given supporters an early Christmas present with the signing of vastly experienced forward Chris Zebroski.

The 35-year-old left Southern Premier Division South side Swindon Supermarine last month in search of more regular football having joined `Marine in September 2021 from Malmesbury Vics.

He was signed by Vanarama National League South side Chippenham Town in August 2019 thanks to a fan`s `budget boost` scheme.

He re-signed for National League side Eastleigh in June 2017 following a `career break`.

He was on the Spitfire's books for four months from March 2013, before leaving to join Newport County in 2013.

The former Plymouth Argyle, Torquay United, Wycombe Wanderers, Bristol Rovers and Cheltenham Town man scored 19 times in two League Two campaigns for Newport before his spell in Wales was brought to an abrupt end in April 2015 when he was jailed for attempted robbery and assault relating to two incidents.
