Double Boost for Poole

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Poole Town have taken highly-rated young defender Jack Seddon on `work experience` for the rest of the season from Championship neighbours AFC Bournemouth.

The 19-year-old Christchurch-born centre-back has been with the Cherries since the age of 9 and was voted the Premier League scholar of the year in August 2021 and is very highly thought of at the Vitality Stadium.

Now a third-year scholar, Seddon missed much of the 2020/21 season due to injury.

Poole have also announced that another former AFC Bournemouth youngster, Will Fletcher, has signed an 18-month extension of his contract with the.

The 20-year-old was with the Cherries academy from under-7 to under 14s.

He signed for Poole`s league rivals Wimborne Town in 2018 and scored goals for the development team, and, when he came on as a substitute for his first team debut in the Dorset Senior Cup quarter-final he scored one and had an assist for another.

He signed for Poole in September 2020 but is currently sidelined after breaking his collarbone at work.
