The Cherries, holders of the trophy, attracted a decent crowd of 335 to the EasyAsHGV Stadium and fielded their development squad, although the likes of Zeno Ibsen Rossi and Christian Saydee had both made their first-team debuts this season, while Jack Seddon, who has recently joined Poole Town on `work experience`, goalkeeper Cameron Plain (Wimborne Town) and midfielder Euan Pollock (Truro City) have plenty of experience at Boro`s level.
But Spencer Day`s in-form Farnborough side knocked out the holders, courtesy of a 64th-minute goal from Paul Hodges, who made the most of a loose ball in the box to thump past Plain from just outside the six-yard box.
