Williams Boost for Lymington

Lymington Town have taken vastly experienced forward Brett Williams on a month`s loan from Pitching In Southern League Division One South rivals and neighbours AFC Totton.

The 34-year-old makes the switch in order to build up his fitness following injury and he made his debut for Lymington in Saturday`s defeat to Sholing.

Williams signed for the Stags in May 2020 from Vanarama National League side Weymouth.

He had joined the Terras in June 2019 from then-National League outfit Sutton United.

He was signed by the U`s from Torquay United in December 2018, initially on loan before signing a permanent contract in January 2019, scoring 3 goals in 22 games. However, he wasn`t retained by Sutton`s new boss Matt Gray.

He re-joined Torquay from Bromley in January 2017, having spent the 2016/17 season at Plainmoor.

Originally with Eastleigh and Reading, before joining Torquay, he made his name during a prolific period with Aldershot Town.

He scored 39 goals in 89 league starts for the Shots before moves to Stevenage and Forest Green Rovers.

Lymington have also signed midfielder Bradley Gale from league rivals Barnstaple Town.

The 28-year-old had been with Barum since December 2019.

He had been playing and coaching in Spain with Alicante City since the summer of 2019.

He started out in the United States on a scholarship at the University of Louisville and playing for River City Rovers.

When he returned to Britain, he signed for Scottish side Queens Park in July 2015.

He returned south and signed for Poole Town in October 2016 and remained a Dolphin until June 2018.

He then spent the 2018/19 campaign with Winchester City before heading to Spain.
