Jed Abbey

Defender James Golding joins the Puritans on `work experience` from League One neighbours Oxford United.

The 17-year-old central defender joined Oxford as a scholar in the summer of 2020 after spending eight years in the academy system at AFC Wimbledon.

He made his senior debut for the U`s in October when coming on as a substitute in their EFL Trophy home game against Tottenham Hotspur under-21s.

Golding followed the earlier arrival of 19-year-old midfielder Jed Abbey on loan from Vanarama National League North side AFC Telford United until the end of the season.

Abbey signed for the Bucks in May following his departure from Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He hails from Den Haag Netherlands and has been an academy player at Wolves for over 10 years following his signing from Randlay Colts Stirchley at a young age.

He impressed in the Under-18 Premier League level, registering 4 goals and 5 assists which warranted interest from Glasgow Rangers.
