The now experienced 30-year-old was a long-serving skipper of Willand Rovers having joined in 2016 from South West Peninsula League Premier Division West side Callington Town.

Known as `Mr Consistency`, he was voted as supporters` player of the year for 2017/18 and 2018/29.

A tall, athletic, consistent and assured defender, he appeared in over 250 matches for Willand.

New Barnstaple boss Craig Laird has also brought in Ollie Haste and Saul Plesca.

Haste has joined the club on a dual registration basis from Vanarama National League side Yeovil Town.

He is a local lad who began at Bideford Blues in north Devon.

He is the first player from Yeovil’s elite player development programme to progress to a first team squad.

Late last year he also earned a call up to the England College`s team following a successful trial.

He attends Yeovil College and had to get through two trials to get selected to join players from across the whole country.

Plesca is a 21-year-old based in the Midlands, playing for West Midlands (Regional) League side Willenhall Town, but has also enjoyed spells in the Czech Republic and Scotland with Rothes.

He impressed as a left-sided striker in a recent Mill Road training match.
