After spending two spells on loan back at Pitching In Southern League Division South promotion chasers Cirencester Town, striker Ben Whitehead has now made his return to the Corinium Stadium from Southern Premier Division South side Weston-super-Mare a more permanent one.
The 27-year-old had signed for the Seagulls in June 2019 from Cirencester after he won the `golden boot` scoring 39 goals in 38 games.
He originally joined Cirencester in the summer of 2017 from Didcot Town having previously been with Swindon Supermarine, Swindon Town and Chippenham Town.
He ended his first season as the joint winner of the `golden boot` and swept the board at the club`s end of season awards, and despite his second season being brought to a halt after he sustained a serious injury, he still managed to take his Ciren tally to an incredible 86 goals in 87 games!
