Aransibia Makes Crows Switch

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Royston Town have signed central midfielder Devonte Aransibia from Isthmian League Premier Division side Potters Bar Town.

The 23-year-old joined the Scholars in the summer of 2021 from league rivals Kingstonian.

He had signed for K`s in March 2019 after having been released by Norwich City the month previously.

He began his career at Carrow Road and played for the under-18 and under-23 sides.

In January 2019 he had a short loan spell with Vanarama National League South outfit Billericay Town.

Royston`s assistant manager Chris Watters told his club`s website: “Devonte was presented to us by our Head of Recruitment as a ‘must have’ signing and as such we have monitored him closely for a while. He is a true athlete and is a big, powerful central midfielder who is comfortable with the ball at his feet.

“Central midfield is an area that we’ve wanted to add extra quality into for a while now. It’s not been an easy task, but we’ve been searching for the ‘right’ player for us rather than just anybody. We’re sure that the Crows faithful will soon be enjoying Devonte’s performances!”
