Two New Defenders for Evesham

Included in Evesham United`s 4-1 victory over Highworth Town in the Pitching In Southern League Division One South last Saturday were two new arrivals.

Adam Pepera

Central defender Adam Pepera was named as United`s man of the match having arrived from Southern League Premier Division Central side Nuneaton Borough just in time to play.

The experienced 33-year-old had joined Boro in June 2021 from Isthmian League Premier Division side Enfield Town where he had been since September 2020 after arriving from Hanwell Town.

Formerly with Southern Premier South outfit Harrow Borough, he signed for the latter from league rivals Chesham United in December 2017.

Formerly with Cockfosters, Dunstable Town, Uxbridge, Chalfont St Peter and Enfield, he has a wealth of non-League experience and also spent time out on loan with Farnborough, Hendon and Hayes & Yeading United in 2018/19.

On the bench for Evesham against the Worthians was highly-rated young defender Jacob Geddes.

The 18-year-old joined United from Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side Tuffley Rovers.

He came through Tuffley`s youth ranks to become a first-team regular last season and had a number of higher-level clubs interested in him last summer but decided to stay loyal to Rovers at the time.
