Wantage Strengthen Defensive Options

Pitching In Southern League Division One Central relegation battlers Wantage Town have bolstered their defensive options with the signing of Will Edwards from Isthmian League South Central Division side Thatcham Town.

The 23-year-old had made 11 starts for the Kingfishers this season, as well as appearing 10 more times on the bench.

The central defender, who is strong in the tackle and a good communicator at the back, joined the Kingfishers ahead of the 2021/22 campaign and brings experience from spells with Thame Rangers and Marlow United.
