The more experienced of the two is 23-year-old Sam Egole

An athletic full-back, he impressed in pre-season friendlies to earn a deal with Vanarama National League South side Billericay Town in late July 2019.

He had been in Nuneaton Borough`s academy and has also turned out for Carshalton Athletic in the Isthmian League Premier Division.

He signed for St Ives` league rivals Biggleswade Town in the summer of 2021 after being with Isthmian Premier outfit Margate.

Returning to Westwood Road on `work experience` from League One side Oxford United is youngster Ben Watt.

The 18-year-old right-back originally joined the Saints in December 2021, having enjoyed a similar stint with league rivals Stratford Town earlier in the season.

Watt is a typical modern-day full-back who signed for the U`s from Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur.

He has also represented England as an under-15 and joined Oxford after impressing in a fixture against AFC Bournemouth.

Watt is yet to make a senior appearance for the U`s but was an unused substitute in cup games at Burton Albion and Cambridge United earlier this season.

He also travelled with the squad for April’s defeat at Sunderland in League One.
