Former Favourite Returns to Turbines

Returning to Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Peterborough Sports on dual-registration is striker Jordan Macleod.

The 25-year-old has scored 15 goals in 32 games for Spalding United in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands this season, having joined the Tulips in the summer of 2021 from league rivals Yaxley.

He had signed for the Cuckoos in September 2020 from Sports, where he was in his second spell, returning in the summer of 2020 after a stint with another NPL Division One Midlands outfit, Wisbech Town.

He had moved to the Fenmen in February 2020 from Sports` league rivals
AFC Rushden & Diamonds, having moved to Hayden Road from the Bee Arena in October 2019.

In his first spell with the Turbines, he was dual-registered at United Counties Leaguers Deeping Rangers where he scored 20 goals in 16 games.

He also played for Peterborough Northern Star earlier in his career.

Sports` boss Jimmy Dean has also brought in goalkeeper Peter Crook on loan from Vanarama National League North side Boston United.

The 27-year-old moved to Boston from Hyde United in May 2019.

He has considerable Step 2 experience during his time at Harrogate Town and linked up with the Pilgrims following an impressive campaign with the Northern Premier Division Tigers.

An outstanding keeper who earned an England C call up and had a trial at Burnley prior to the 2017/18 season, he put pen-to-paper on an initial one-year deal at The Jakemans Stadium.
