McClelland Becomes First Contracted Player for OD's

AFC Dunstable, who lost to Ware on penalties in the Pitching In Southern League Division One Central play-off semi-finals on Tuesday night, have announced that defender Sam McClelland has become the first player to ever sign a contract for the OD’s.

The club is dedicated to raising the bar on and off the pitch and also entrusting its pathway from youth team, under-18, development team to the senior side.

The 23-year-old signed first team forms for the OD’s in August 2020 having been a massive success at youth level and was captain of the club`s under-18 side.

He had spells with Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division sides Crawley Green and Dunstable Town which have helped his development.

And this season has seen him make 34 league appearances and contribute 4 goals as Steve Heath’s side finished the regular season in third spot.
