League New Boys Get Busy

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South new boys Bracknell Town have been busy adding to their Isthmian League South Central Division title-winning squad.

Medford-Smith, 23, joins the Robins having been with new league rivals Farnborough since late November 2021 on dual registration with Vanarama National League South side Slough Town, who he signed for in October 2021 from Isthmian South Central side Marlow.

He had joined Marlow in September 2020 from Championship side Reading where he was a professional.

A defender who can play either left or right back, he had a month`s loan with National League outfit Torquay United in 2019/20.

Cook, 24, is a talented midfielder who joins from former Isthmian South Central rivals Basingstoke Town, where he had been since July 2019.

He has previously played for Andover Town, Thatcham, Reading City and Wantage Town, helping them to win the Hellenic League title in 2018/19.

Goather-Braithwaite is a 23-year-old striker who joins from Southern Division One Central side Waltham Abbey.

He had joined the Abbots in December 2021 from Isthmian North side Barking, where he had only been since November 2021.

He joined the Blues having been at Isthmian Premier outfit Leatherhead only since late October 2021 after arriving from league rivals Wingate & Finchley.

He had joined Wingate in the summer of 2021 from National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town.

He was previously at Brimsdown Rovers, Barkingside, Walthamstow, Aylesbury United, Westfield, Romford and Queens Park Rangers.

Grant is a goalkeeper who makes the move from former league rivals and neighbours Marlow.

He transferred to Marlow from Ashford Town (Middx) prior to the start of the season 2013/14.

He has also played for AFC Hayes, Slough Town and Hayes & Yeading United.

Following Grant from Marlow is central defender Adam Richards, whose impressive displays with Marlow earned him a move to Harrow Borough in 2017 where injury restricted his appearances.

He made a few appearances on loan at Egham Town during the early part of the 2018/19 season before returning to Marlow.

Striker Jordan Esprit joins the Robins from Bedfont Sports, who finished third behind Bracknell in 2021/22.

Scored 14 goals in 47 appearances across three seasons for Bedfont having previously been with Sutton United, Chertsey Town and Hampton & Richmond Borough.
