Archie Reay
He joins the Robins from Toolstation Western League Premier Division side Buckland Athletic, where he had been since February 2021.
The 19-year-old had been released by League Two neighbours Exeter City a few weeks earlier and his arrival at Buckland saw him re-united with manager Paul Froude, who handed Ford his debut at Newton Abbot Spurs three years ago as a 16-year-old.
It was his performances for Spurs that attracted the attention of the Grecians.
Ford told Bideford’s website: "Buzzing to sign for Bideford. Have heard great things about the club from mates that have been here in recent seasons and hopefully we can have a successful year."
Meanwhile, returning to Bideford is midfielder Archie Reay.
The 21-year-old had re-joined Barnstaple Town for a third time in March 2022 from league rivals Willand Rovers but couldn’t help preventing Barum’s eventual relegation back to the Toolstation Western League.
He had been with Willand since September 2020 when arriving from Bideford, having originally signed for Biddy from fierce neighbours Barnstaple in February 2019.
Had re-joined Barum from Tiverton Town in 2018 and holds the distinction of being the first player born this century to play for Barnstaple.
